Sympathy Card

My neighbour's Dad died yesterday so I needed to make a card for her. Rather busy day so had about half an hour to put this together. I matched the colours to the flowers I bought her. Never quite sure about what to put outside and in so kept the words simple - inside read ' With Our Sympathy at this Sad Time'. Would be interested to know what other people put, I'm not really into verses and I feel that I can only put something with a religious leaning if I know that the recipient will appreciate that.

Your card is beautiful. I usually put.... Thinking of you at this sad time or.... You are in our thoughts at this sad time.

It totally depends on who I'm sending the card to for what I write inside.
Love the card Jean and the idea of matching it to the flowers is a lovely touch.
I try to keep off the word Sympathy but that is only becuse I personally am afraid of sympathy as it makes me break, I normally write something along the lines of So sorry to hear of your loss, or thinking of you and your family at this sad time, If I know the person well then it would be a personal message to them.

Stunning card

I agree wording is soo difficult I love that you kept it simple I know there are some poigniant ?spelling verses, we did a file at work for relatives - but some are a little heavy if you know what I mean!!

Such difficult cards to make but this one is just perfect, it's beautiful, so elegant and the sentiment is just right too.
